Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a technically skilled professional for the design and realisation of water and hydropower structures. You will handle demanding infrastructure projects from the concept and design phase through execution and detailed planning to realisation. Depending on your experience, you will independently lead your own projects and coordinate the involved specialist disciplines. The position combines structural engineering, hydraulic engineering and hydropower with practical planning and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and designing demanding hydraulic and hydropower projects across the relevant SIA phases

• Processing concept, execution and detailed plans for hydraulic and power plant engineering structures

• Developing structural solutions for power plant buildings, water intakes, pressure pipelines, canals and other engineering structures

• Creating and coordinating CAD drawings, technical documents and execution details

• Conducting or supporting structural dimensioning and technical variant studies

• Independent project management from design to realisation according to experience and project scope

• Coordination with clients, specialist planners, authorities, contractors and other project participants

• Preparation of cost estimates, tender documents and technical specifications

• Supporting the tendering, awarding and execution as well as providing technical assistance during the construction phase

• Monitoring project objectives regarding costs, deadlines, quality and technical requirements

• Conducting plan and execution inspections and supporting acceptance and commissioning

• Applying relevant SIA standards and Swiss regulations in hydraulic and structural engineering

Qualifications:

• Degree as Civil Engineer ETH/FH, Certified Technician HF Construction Planning or comparable construction-technical qualification

• Professional experience in structural engineering, hydraulic engineering, infrastructure construction or project management, knowledge in hydropower is an advantage

• Expertise in concept, execution and detailed planning of engineering structures

• Confident use of a CAD system as well as common MS Office applications

• Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss planning and construction processes

• Experience in design, tendering and realisation support is an advantage

• Good German language skills spoken and written
