Role:
Do you want to implement demanding platform solutions and actively further develop modern IT architectures? In this role, you will shape the construction and further development of complex container and cloud infrastructures. You will contribute your expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure design, develop reusable technical standards, and support customers in operating their systems securely, efficiently, and sustainably.
Responsibilities:
Building and further developing scalable container platforms for local data centres and cloud environments with Rancher and Microsoft AKS.
Ensuring stable operation and technical advancement of Linux-based systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Conducting in-depth fault analyses and troubleshooting in complex customer environments in second- and third-level support.
Standardising recurring operational processes through automation, technical documentation, and sustainable infrastructure concepts.
Developing future-proof platform architectures, assessing technical risks, and devising suitable solutions in close coordination with customers and internal specialists.
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science or equivalent qualification with solid professional experience in system technology or infrastructure engineering.
Very good knowledge of Linux environments and practical experience with Kubernetes and containerised applications.
Experience with cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure, and/or operating classic on-premises infrastructures.
Knowledge in complementary infrastructure disciplines such as configuration management, backup, storage, logging, reverse proxy, or web application firewall.
Analytical thinking, independent action, and strong customer and service orientation as well as the ability to communicate technical contexts clearly and share knowledge within the team.
