Project Manager HVAC (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a project manager for heating / cooling / ventilation / district heating for an established company in the field of building technology, energy systems, and technical building equipment. You will independently lead and realise demanding HVAC and energy projects from tendering and work preparation to commissioning and handover. The focus is on technical and economic project management, coordination of installation teams, and responsibility for costs, deadlines, and quality. The position combines modern heating and cooling technology, district heating systems, and practical project management with high personal responsibility, a company vehicle with private use, and attractive training opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management of heating, cooling, ventilation, and district heating projects from contract award to successful commissioning and handover

• Technical and commercial overall responsibility for own projects including budget planning, cost control, schedule management, and quality assurance

• Work preparation (AVOR) and project organisation with creation of installation sequences, deployment plans, and technical execution bases

• Leadership and coordination of internal installation teams as well as external partners to ensure professional and timely project execution

• Technical coordination of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems including heat generation, heat distribution, cooling supply, and technical system interfaces

• Project execution in the field of district heating and energy systems including coordination of house connections, transfer stations, and heat distribution systems

• Preparation and calculation of tenders, change orders, and measurements as well as verification of contractor and supplier services

• Material procurement and resource planning including supplier coordination, ordering, and ensuring timely material availability

• Organisation and leadership of construction and coordination meetings with clients, architects, specialist planners, suppliers, and other project participants

• Monitoring of installation execution and quality assurance through site inspections, technical tests, and compliance with relevant SIA standards

• Technical advice and support for clients on system concepts, execution variants, optimisation options, and project-specific issues

• Organisation and accompaniment of commissioning, functional tests, and acceptance including defect management, final documentation, and project billing

Qualifications:

• Completed training as a building services planner heating EFZ, heating installer EFZ, or equivalent recognised technical training in the HVAC field

• Further training as a technician HF building technology, project manager building technology, or heating master is an advantage

• Several years of professional experience in project management of heating, cooling, ventilation, or district heating systems with responsibility for costs, deadlines, and quality

• Sound expertise in heating and energy technology, especially heat generation, heat distribution, cooling systems, and district heating connections

• Experience in work preparation, installation coordination, and project controlling including tendering, change management, and material procurement

• Good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and confident use of digital project management and construction administration tools

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as a category B driving licence
