Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist as a Geomatics Technician Surveying & Network Infrastructure for versatile tasks around the surveying and documentation of technical supply networks. You will independently carry out surveying work on pipelines, structures and point objects in the areas of water, heat, gas, electricity and telecommunications. In addition to using modern GNSS and total station systems, you will prepare survey data, create digital plans and coordinate surveying assignments. The position combines practical fieldwork with CAD, geodata, project organisation and quality assurance in a demanding infrastructure environment.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out surveying and staking-out work on pipelines, point objects and structures of the supply infrastructure
Recording and documenting utility lines in the areas of water, heat, gas, electricity and telecommunications
Conducting precise field surveys with GNSS, total station and modern surveying instruments
Processing, checking and transferring the collected surveying and geodata into the corresponding plan and documentation systems
Creating, supplementing and updating digital and analogue utility and pipeline plans using AutoCAD or comparable CAD systems
Receiving and technically reviewing surveying assignments from construction companies, project management and internal specialist departments
Coordinating and scheduling ongoing assignments as well as liaising with construction management, civil engineering, network planning and other project participants
Supporting project organisation and construction documentation for new build, conversion and renovation projects of the network infrastructure
Conducting quality controls on surveying data and services of external service providers
Ensuring complete and traceable inventory and network documentation
Handling short-term surveying assignments and adjusting deployment planning in case of construction process and project changes
Qualifications:
Completed training as a Geomatics Technician EFZ, ideally specialising in official surveying or geoinformation
Professional experience in engineering, construction or pipeline surveying, preferably in the field of utility lines and network infrastructure
Solid user knowledge of GNSS, total station and digital surveying systems
Good knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable CAD software as well as experience in processing geodata
Knowledge of utility line documentation, plan processing and surveying data management
Very good German language skills for technical documentation and coordination of surveying assignments
Valid category B driving licence
