Public Prosecutor 80-100% (Economic Crime)
Exciting tasks await:
- Leading complex criminal investigations in the field of economic crime
- Conducting interviews and interrogations
- Ordering and carrying out coercive measures
- Issuing non-prosecution, suspension, and dismissal orders
- Issuing penal orders
- Bringing charges and representing them before the cantonal courts
What you bring:
- Completed law degree, mandatory lawyer's licence as a public prosecutor
- Good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law as well as practical experience in criminal prosecution
- Career changers (especially from law firms specialising in commercial law) welcome
- Familiarity and confident handling of criminal investigations
- Ability to make decisions and take on the associated responsibility
- Very good German skills and convincing communication, foreign language skills an advantage
- Assertiveness and perseverance as well as confident appearance, commitment and resilience
If you do not have a lawyer's licence and/or practical experience, there is the possibility of a fixed-term employment as an assistant public prosecutor for three years with the option of later promotion to public prosecutor.
In addition to the usual documents, we require a current debt enforcement and criminal record extract (submission possible later in the application process). Please note that employment requires a successful security check.

Your working environment
We are responsible at the Public Prosecutor's Office Aargau for criminal proceedings against adults in the canton of Aargau. We conduct the preliminary proceedings and prosecute offences and offenders in close cooperation with the police. We issue penal orders, bring charges and represent the state's criminal claims in court.
