Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management, planning and realisation of demanding architectural and building projects in an established Swiss architectural environment. You will take responsibility for new build and conversion projects from concept development through design to execution planning and handover to the client. The focus is on architectural design, technical project coordination, cost and schedule control, as well as leading interdisciplinary specialist planner teams. The position combines independent project responsibility with building construction, tenders, contract management and close collaboration with construction execution.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management and overall coordination of architectural and building projects across all relevant SIA project phases from concept development to handover

• Development and elaboration of architectural concepts, designs and project studies for demanding new build and conversion projects

• Responsibility for design as well as work, detail and execution planning considering architectural, technical and economic requirements

• Professional leadership and coordination of external architects, specialist planners and experts from structural engineering, building services and other disciplines

• Monitoring and controlling project costs, schedules and quality requirements including budget control, scheduling and project controlling

• Preparation and review of tender documents, specifications and invitations to tender as well as conducting offer comparisons and award preparations

• Preparation and review of contract documents considering SIA 118 and relevant Swiss contract and construction standards

• Coordination and alignment with clients, authorities, specialist planners and executing companies during design and realisation

• Review and quality assurance of project, work and execution plans including technical interfaces and constructive detail solutions

• Close collaboration with the internal construction and execution department to ensure economical and technically flawless implementation

• Technical support during construction including execution clarifications, plan adjustments and constructive optimisations

• Support during construction acceptance and project completion including quality assurance, defect management and handover to the client

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies ETH/FH (Bachelor or Master) or training as a technician HF construction planning with corresponding professional experience

• Several years of professional experience in architectural project management, especially in design, work planning and execution planning

• Sound knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and building regulations, especially SIA 118, as well as relevant construction and planning processes

• Experience in professional leadership and coordination of specialist planners, experts and executing companies

• In-depth knowledge of building construction, detail planning, tenders, contract management as well as cost and schedule management

• Confident use of CAD, construction administration and project management software as well as Microsoft Office

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project reports, tenders, contract documents and client meetings
