Role:

As an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you design a Microsoft Azure infrastructure that is in active use and continuously growing. Technical depth counts here more than mere routine. You connect cloud, identity, and Windows worlds into a coherent whole and make well-founded decisions. Automation is not an add-on for you but a fundamental principle. This creates a platform that remains secure, efficient, and future-proof.

Responsibilities:

• You design virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups and provide compute and storage services.

• You thoroughly investigate complex incidents related to network, identities, and servers and find the cause.

• You implement Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Intune, and Windows 365 and ensure their stable operation.

• Furthermore, you manage Microsoft Entra ID with roles, app registrations, and enterprise applications and technically implement access and security requirements.

• You develop operational processes further with PowerShell and infrastructure as code and set up monitoring, alerting, and logging.

• In addition, you realise cloud migrations and lifecycle measures, support the Windows Server platform, and optimise backup, costs, and performance.

Qualifications:

• You bring several years of experience in Azure cloud engineering and Windows system technology, ideally at least 3 years.

• You know Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and PaaS well, especially virtual machines, storage, and private network connections.

• Firewalls, routing, DNS, and hybrid connections via VPN are familiar to you.

• Moreover, you master Entra ID including RBAC and have solid knowledge of Windows Server and client environments.

• You automate with scripts and use IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Additionally, you impress with experience in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and recovery concepts, keep an overview even with tricky error patterns, and communicate confidently in German as well as securely in English.
