For our client, an international high-tech company specialised in the energy and naval sector, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f) at 100% for a permanent contract.

Your tasks with your new employer

• You design and develop mechanical solutions adapted to the needs and technical specifications of clients, in collaboration with the various project stakeholders
• You study the needs, analyse the constraints and define the technical architectures, then carry out the preliminary sizing calculations necessary to validate the chosen concepts
• You ensure the detailed design of equipment, taking into account construction and regulatory requirements, up to the preparation of the documents necessary for their manufacture
• You consider the constraints specific to the various production processes, notably machining, boiler making and welding, in order to find the best balance between performance, reliability, costs and deadlines
• You prepare the required technical documentation and support the realisation of equipment by ensuring communication with suppliers and external partners
• You contribute to the preparation of technical files and the drafting of technical elements integrated into commercial offers
• You participate in various design reviews and project follow-up meetings, with internal teams as well as clients

You offer your new employer

• You hold a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, microtechnology, HES/EPF or equivalent training, at Bac+5 level
• You have at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design of machines, industrial equipment and/or welded mechanical structures
• You master the complete development cycle, from needs analysis to manufacturing documentation
• You have solid skills in mechanical design, boiler making, machining and welding
• You have a systems approach and are comfortable with multidisciplinary projects and interface management
• You know how to analyse complex problems and propose pragmatic solutions
• You are autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented
• You are proficient in a 3D design software, ideally CATIA V5
• You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
• You ideally have knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
• You are willing to travel occasionally within Switzerland and abroad
