Legal Expert: Data Protection and Technology Law
Location: Zurich
Workload: 50-60%
Start Date: October 2026 (or by arrangement)
- Support KPMG’s Data Protection Officer ("DPO") with enquiries from clients, authorities and third parties
- Contribute to embedding processes around data protection and compliance, e.g. by assisting in drafting instructions and processes and their communication
- Take responsibility for internal projects related to data protection and the (further) development of training materials and tools for employee training
- Independently analyse issues related to data processing and data transfers domestically and abroad and develop solutions in coordination with other departments and the Data Protection Officer ("DPO")
- Assist in reviewing contracts (e.g. negotiating data protection provisions with suppliers and clients)
- Manage and process the "DPO" mailboxes

Why You Will Succeed
- Swiss university degree in law, ideally with relevant further education in data protection
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in data protection and technology law
- Extensive experience in process management; demonstrably involved in systematically embedding processes regarding data protection and compliance
- Structured, careful and organised working style
- Strong interest and motivation in data protection legal issues
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and international teamwork
- Solution-oriented personality who can drive projects forward with initiative and consulting skills
- German as mother tongue and very good English skills (at least C1/C2 level)
