Construction Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 110,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the management of demanding building construction projects who wishes to specifically develop towards project management. You will take over the operational control of the construction site and be responsible for deadlines, costs, quality and execution coordination. In doing so, you will work closely with clients, planners and executing companies and gradually take on additional tasks in project management and project control. This position is particularly suitable for experienced construction managers who are aiming for the next professional and organisational career step in Swiss building construction.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of building construction projects from work preparation to acceptance and handover
Coordination and leadership of contractors, specialist planners, suppliers and other project participants on site
Responsibility for ongoing deadline, cost and quality control and initiation of appropriate measures in case of deviations
Creation and monitoring of construction programmes, schedules and execution processes
Conducting construction and coordination meetings including minute-taking and consistent follow-up on action points
Participation in tendering, offer comparisons, awards and contracts
Checking quantities, contractor invoices and change orders as well as supporting ongoing construction cost controlling
Conducting quality and execution controls taking into account plans, contracts and relevant SIA standards
Organisation and execution of acceptances and defect management as well as monitoring timely defect rectification
Coordination of interfaces between architecture, building services, specialist planning and execution
Gradual assumption of project management tasks, especially project organisation, client communication, cost control and reporting
Accompanying projects until project completion and handover of construction documentation
Qualifications:
Construction-specific basic training EFZ, for example draughtsperson EFZ specialising in architecture, supplemented by further training as construction manager or certified technician HF construction planning
Several years of experience in management of building construction projects in Switzerland
Sound knowledge in execution, scheduling, cost control and quality assurance
Experience with tendering, awarding, contracts, change and invoicing management
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss construction processes
Further training in construction management or project management is an advantage
Very good German skills spoken and written
