Senior Java/ JEE Developer

A leading insurance company in Lucerne is looking for a Senior Java/JEE Software Developer.

To introduce the unified financing of outpatient and inpatient services in the Swiss healthcare system (EFAS) as of 1 January 2028, the company is developing the new application system in this greenfield project with a newly assembled developer team. For this, we are looking for two Senior Java/JEE Software Developers.

Areas of responsibility:

• You work and support the Scrum team as a JEE developer, develop and program sophisticated, architecture-compliant solution variants according to CSS and internal team specifications (e.g. DoD) and ensure quality assurance including product regression.
• Your developer heart will be satisfied with us: You work with interesting technologies such as Java, event- and workflow-based architectures, Docker, Kubernetes.
• You strive for excellence, using modern software engineering practices such as Clean Code, Clean Architecture (Onion Architecture), TDD, BDD and DDD.
• You build it, you run it! As a DevOps and Scrum team member, you are responsible for the software from conception to operation.
• With your openness to new things, your ideas and experience, you advance the team.

Requirements:

• You have several years of experience in software development (Java/Jakarta stack, Kubernetes and DevOps, preferably also WebDev and Angular) and enjoy complex tasks.
• Quality in software development is close to your heart. Your code is of high quality and sustainable.
• Several years of domain experience in the health insurance sector is an advantage.
• You enjoy learning new things and are characterised by a great willingness to learn and independent working.

• Direct, active collaboration with the business and other development teams is an enrichment for you.
• You are a team player, actively contribute and also question things. In addition, you live the Lean-Agile mindset of SAFe just like we do.
