Our client is an IT service provider that operates and further develops modern and reliable infrastructure platforms for its customers. The team combines classic data centre technologies with virtualisation and hybrid operating models and supports both ongoing operations and demanding infrastructure projects. In this role, you take technical responsibility for HPE, VMware, and Veeam environments, analyse complex faults, and implement modernisations and migrations. At the same time, you contribute your own ideas, improve operational processes, and support your team with your expertise.
Responsibilities:
Operation, maintenance, and optimisation of hybrid IT infrastructures with HPE hardware, VMware, and Veeam
Participation in patch, update, and lifecycle management as well as in the technical further development of the platforms
Planning, configuration, migration, and implementation of on-premises and data centre solutions
Independent implementation of smaller infrastructure projects and technical assignments
Analysis and sustainable resolution of complex faults in 3rd-level support
Support of operational handovers as well as creation and maintenance of technical documentation
Further development of operational standards and support of the team in technical matters
Qualifications:
Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally supplemented by further education at HF or FH level
Several years of experience in operating and further developing data centre, virtualisation, or hybrid cloud environments
Sound knowledge of HPE hardware, VMware, and Veeam
Experience with implementation, migration, and integration of on-premises and data centre solutions
Ideally knowledge in patch management, automation, or Azure Update Management
Experience in planning and implementing infrastructure projects
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style as well as enjoyment of teamwork
Very good German skills and good English skills in spoken and written form
