Within SBB Cargo, you are at the heart of the Swiss economy. As Head of the Construction and Steel Business Unit, you take responsibility for a significant scope with strategic clients and actively shape its development. A demanding market environment awaits you, an experienced team, and a role with a great deal of responsibility and freedom to act, close to our clients and the business activity.

What you can influence.

• With your team of 8 employees, you are responsible for strategic key accounts and a business volume of around 180 million francs.
• You sustainably develop existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and win clients for tailored transport solutions.
• Thanks to your understanding of the market, clients, and economic challenges, you continuously evolve the business unit and its market approaches.
• In important negotiations with clients and on contracts, you reconcile divergent interests and find economically viable solutions.
• As a manager, you provide direction, set clear priorities, and create an environment where individual responsibility and collaboration are lived daily.
• Both internally and externally, you maintain an open and constructive dialogue and bring together the relevant partners.

What you bring.

• Through your engaging and authentic manner, you build trust and treat clients, colleagues, and partners as equals.
• Taking responsibility motivates you and you do so reliably. Even in demanding situations, you keep an overview and find pragmatic solutions.
• Proven experience in leadership and/or sales in a comparable role as well as a solid B2B background form the basis of this role.
• Ideally, you already work in freight, transport, logistics, construction, or steel and understand market mechanisms and client needs.
• A deep understanding of the market and activities allows you to quickly grasp interrelations and justify your decisions clearly.
• A university or university of applied sciences degree and proficiency in German for negotiation, as well as good knowledge of English and French at B1 level, complete your profile.
