About the job
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-known company in French-speaking Switzerland, specialised in technical carpentry and building fit-out solutions, a Carpentry Technician / Project Manager.
You will ensure the technical and organisational follow-up of carpentry and technical fit-out projects, from study to project completion. As the main contact for architects, clients, and installation companies, you guarantee the smooth running of projects respecting deadlines, technical requirements, and expected quality.
Responsibilities
- Technical studies
Analyse technical files and architectural plans
Study technical solutions adapted to client needs
Produce execution plans and technical details
Prepare quotes and participate in project costing
Select the most suitable products and solutions according to technical constraints
- Project management
Ensure full follow-up of projects, from order to completion
Plan the different project stages and coordinate stakeholders
Be the primary contact for architects, clients, and partner companies
Attend site meetings and monitor works progress
Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements
Anticipate technical issues and propose appropriate solutions
Coordination
Maintain communication between clients, suppliers, and installation teams
Check conformity of completed works
Ensure rigorous administrative and technical follow-up of files
Profile
- Carpentry Federal VET Diploma complemented by a Technician ES training or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Switzerland in a similar role
- Alternatively, at least 10 years’ experience in France in a comparable environment
- Excellent knowledge of construction practices in French-speaking Switzerland and relations with architects
- Good command of plan reading and CAD software
- Autonomous, organised person capable of managing several projects simultaneously
- Stress-resistant and comfortable in a demanding environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
