Tooling Technician
Purpose of the Role
The Tooling Technician is responsible for the efficient management, provision, and inventory control of tools and consumables. Duties include ensuring the smooth operation of tooling management systems, coordinating procurement processes, monitoring stock levels, and managing the interfaces between the IT systems used to ensure the availability and traceability of tools within the company.
Responsibilities

Create and process purchase proposals for new tools as well as regrinding orders for used tools, including handling shipping documents.

Monitor and track orders and ensure timely procurement processes.

Carry out incoming goods inspections as well as storage and system entry of incoming goods.

Manage and maintain the tooling management systems Toolbase ATMS and Haenel Lean-Lift, including server and stand-alone solutions.

Support the commissioning of new Toolbase systems in collaboration with suppliers.

Ensure trouble-free operation of the Toolbase ATMS systems at all relevant locations.

Control and monitor stock levels to ensure demand-oriented availability.

Maintain and ensure the functionality of the interface between D365 and Toolbase.

Maintain and manage item master data in PDM and D365 systems.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient processes.
Qualifications

Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Solid experience with tooling management systems; knowledge of Toolbase ATMS and Haenel Lean-Lift is advantageous.

Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, especially PSS and D365.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with SQL databases.

Strong IT affinity and understanding of system-supported processes and interfaces.

High resilience as well as an independent, responsible, and structured working style.

Careful and precise working method while adhering to defined system requirements.

Professional demeanour and confident communication when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
