Senior System Engineer Cloud & Infrastructure (m/f/d)
Role:
A modern IT service company is seeking an experienced individual to support customers in the further development of secure and high-performance IT infrastructures. The position combines classic system engineering tasks with modern cloud technologies and offers plenty of scope to actively shape technical solutions.
From the existing Windows and Linux landscape through Microsoft 365 and Azure to network and security topics, you will accompany demanding infrastructure projects and take responsibility for their technical implementation.
Responsibilities:
Support, maintenance and continuous development of Windows and Linux infrastructures
Planning, building and configuring modern on-premise and cloud environments with Microsoft 365 and Azure
Planning and execution of migrations from technical conception to productive commissioning
Independent implementation of IT infrastructure projects as well as collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams
Analysis and resolution of complex technical faults in 2nd and 3rd level support
Maintenance of structured, comprehensible and audit-proof technical documentation
Qualifications:
Several years of experience with Windows Server and Windows Client environments
Sound knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox
Very good knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Exchange in on-premise as well as cloud environments
Good knowledge of network and security technologies such as firewalls, WLAN, routing, switching and VPN
Understanding of modern cloud networking and security concepts such as WAF, ZTNA, SASE or SSE as well as high availability solutions
Knowledge of EDR/XDR/MDR, vulnerability and patch management, email security as well as backup, disaster recovery and BCM; very good German language skills
