Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for planning, building, and operating complex network infrastructures, ensuring their high availability and security. You analyse existing networks, identify optimisation potentials, and implement suitable solutions to continuously improve performance, stability, and scalability. As a Senior Network Engineer, you make architecture and design decisions, define standards, and ensure these are consistently adhered to in projects and operations. Additionally, you coordinate collaboration with relevant interfaces, document your solutions carefully, and actively contribute your expertise in technical reviews and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer, you configure network components, commission them, and conduct tests in projects and operational environments
You design, implement, and document communication networks
In this role, you create and further develop network concepts focusing on stability, security, and long-term operation
You support customer networks and provide targeted support within projects and service assignments
In this role, you assist project managers in pre-sales, for example with solution concepts, architectural questions, and quotations
As a Senior Network Engineer, you analyse complex network and security issues in the 3rd-level environment and resolve them
Qualifications:
- You have completed a technical tertiary education (HF, BSc, MSc or MAS) in engineering or a comparable qualification
- You have solid experience with TCP/IP, routing, and communication security technologies
- You have practical experience with network solutions from manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, or Checkpoint
- Ideally, you have further training in IP communication, for example Cisco certifications
- You bring experience in the field of directional radio or are interested in gaining expertise in this area
- You communicate very well in German and well in English (at least level B2) and are motivated to learn new things
