Database Engineer (m/f) 80-100%
This is what your daily routine looks like
- To the heart of the matter: With your expertise, you automate, administer and operate our Oracle, MariaDB and Postgres databases reliably and independently.
- As the first point of contact, you support our developer teams with database questions, find pragmatic solutions and actively contribute your knowledge.
- Together with the team, you analyse and optimise our data storage, quickly resolve disruptions and ensure stable operation.
- You plan and accompany the lifecycle management of our database infrastructures from setup to successful rollout.
- You bring new ideas into the further development of our information infrastructure and continuously review modern technologies and innovative approaches.
- In the DevOps environment, you further develop automations, confidently accompany deployments and ensure smooth operation.
This is what you bring with you
- First and foremost: You have completed IT training (apprenticeship EFZ, HF, FH or university) and have at least five years of experience in databases or software development.
- You work confidently with SQL, PL/SQL, Python and shell scripts and use them purposefully in everyday work.
- You are passionate about data persistence, data storage and modern database technologies and are well versed in them.
- You approach challenges systematically, structured and solution-oriented.
- You communicate fluently in German and express your ideas clearly.
- You enjoy teamwork, think along, take responsibility and work together with your colleagues.
Good reasons - typical CSS
- Work flexibly: Your team often works from home or on the go. Thanks to a laptop with integrated SIM card and other technical possibilities, this is no problem.
- Keep learning: Stay up to date thanks to our Software Engineering Academy, Innovation Days and attending external conferences.
- Enjoy your wallet: Benefits such as bonus, Reka, discounted health insurance premiums and more, which quickly add up to a few thousand per year.
- Choose your holiday model: 5 or 6 weeks of holiday? Your decision. Accordingly, you work 41 or 42 hours per week.
- Take a break: Home renovation, world trip or learning languages - what is your dream? Celebrate your 10-year anniversary with a two-month sabbatical.
- Enjoy your family life: Take time for your offspring: 3 weeks for fathers, up to 20 weeks for mothers. In addition, there are generous child and education allowances.
