Project Manager Ventilation (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced and digitally savvy specialist for BIM management and model-based coordination of demanding building services projects. You will take on a central role in the development, implementation and quality assurance of BIM standards and accompany diverse construction projects in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, sanitation and electrical (HVACRE). The focus is on interdisciplinary BIM coordination, the creation and review of digital building models with Autodesk Revit, as well as training and supporting internal project teams. The position combines sound building services knowledge, digital planning competence and technical project management with the active further development of efficient and future-oriented planning processes.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management of BIM and BIM coordination for demanding construction and building services projects in various planning and realisation phases

• Development, creation and ongoing updating of BIM standards, modelling guidelines and standardised planning documents to ensure uniform digital workflows

• Implementation and monitoring of project-specific BIM requirements taking into account internal guidelines, client specifications and relevant Swiss planning standards

• Creation, editing and further development of digital building services models with Autodesk Revit for the disciplines heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, sanitation and electrical

• Development of model-based quantity and cost calculation bases as well as support of project teams in the economic evaluation of building services systems

• Organisation and leadership of BIM and specialist coordination meetings with internal project participants, external specialist planners and other project partners

• Conducting systematic model checks and quality controls regarding model structure, information content, geometric consistency and compliance with defined BIM requirements

• Coordination of interfaces between the building services disciplines and architectural and structural planning to identify and address planning conflicts early

• Support of project management in the introduction and application of BIM-supported planning processes as well as in organising digital information exchange

• Professional support, coaching and training of internal BIM project participants including user support and practical further training in Autodesk Revit

• Preparation and delivery of internal specialist presentations, training sessions and workshops on BIM methodology, digital planning tools and model-based workflows

• Continuous optimisation of BIM processes and digital planning infrastructure focusing on model quality, automation, efficient collaboration and sustainable building services solutions

Qualifications:

• Completed studies as a building services engineer FH/ETH, energy engineer or a comparable technical education or vocational training as a building services planner EFZ specialising in heating, ventilation or sanitation, ideally with corresponding further training

• Several years of professional experience in planning building services systems with sound knowledge in at least one of the disciplines heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration or sanitation

• Solid experience with BIM-supported planning processes and digital specialist coordination as well as knowledge of Swiss BIM standards, especially SIA 2051 and relevant SIA planning norms

• Very good user knowledge of Autodesk Revit as well as confident handling of CAD and BIM tools, preferably AutoCAD, Nova and model-based coordination platforms

• Experience in creating and reviewing digital building services models, model-based quantity determination and in developing and implementing BIM guidelines and quality standards

• Strong communication, training and coordination skills as well as enjoyment in professionally supporting project teams, conveying digital planning methods and collaborating with diverse stakeholders

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as very good MS Office skills, an independent, structured and project-oriented working style and a high degree of initiative, responsibility and customer orientation
