In this role, you actively shape the stable and secure operation of modern IT infrastructures. As a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer, you work on demanding datacentre, virtualisation and hybrid cloud solutions, accompany migrations and infrastructure projects, and continuously develop existing platforms. You combine technical know-how, personal responsibility and troubleshooting and contribute to building powerful and future-proof IT environments.
Responsibilities:
You operate, maintain and optimise hybrid IT infrastructures based on HPE, HPE VME, VMware and Veeam.
You support patch, update and lifecycle management, including with Azure Update Management.
You plan, configure and implement on-premises and datacentre solutions and accompany migrations.
You independently or jointly with the project management take on technical projects and smaller assignments.
In 3rd level support, you analyse and sustainably resolve complex faults.
You further develop processes, standards and operating models and actively contribute your know-how to the team.
Qualifications:
Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally with further education at HF, FH or comparable level.
Several years of experience in operating and further developing datacentre, virtualisation or hybrid cloud environments.
Sound knowledge of HPE hardware, VMware and Veeam.
Experience with on-premises infrastructures, datacentre solutions, migrations and integrations.
Knowledge of patch management, automation and update solutions is an advantage.
Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form.
