Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF115,000 - 135,000Our Rocken® partner specialises in IT security, cloud solutions, as well as IT outsourcing and support. Role:
You share responsibility within the team for the flawless operation of sophisticated IT solutions at customers and ensure their stability and availability. In this senior position, you support, monitor and maintain customer systems remotely or on-site, plan and migrate hardware and software infrastructures, and independently design and implement customer projects in the SME segment. You carry out system migrations in the areas of storage, virtualisation as well as backup and restore, develop technical specifications and create meaningful system documentation. You bring analytical thinking, conceptual strength and a high degree of personal responsibility.
Responsibilities:
You share responsibility within the team for the proper operation of sophisticated IT solutions at customers
You support, monitor, update and maintain customer systems remotely or on-site
You plan, prepare, migrate and maintain IT hardware and software infrastructures
You independently design and implement customer projects in the SME segment
You carry out system migrations in the areas of storage, virtualisation as well as backup and restore
Additionally, you develop technical specifications and create system documentation
Qualifications:
You have completed training in IT systems engineering and have further technical/organisational education (HF or FH)
You have very good experience with Microsoft and VMware server environments
You possess in-depth expertise and several years of experience with storage and backup systems (e.g. HP, Fujitsu, Acronis, Synology)
You enjoy providing support via telephone and remote maintenance, mainly in German; additional language skills (English, French, Italian) are welcome
You work analytically, are conceptually strong, flexible, resilient, reliable and take on a high degree of personal responsibility
You tackle exciting tasks with ambition and drive, enjoy being on the road with customers and hold a driving licence
