In this demanding role, you are responsible for the operation, optimisation and continuous development of a modern IT infrastructure. You manage central server and Microsoft platforms, ensure the availability of important IT services and provide a stable and high-performance system landscape. Your tasks include analysing and sustainably resolving complex faults, participating in diverse infrastructure projects and working closely with internal specialist departments and external technology partners. With your experience in Windows Server, PowerShell, virtualisation and other enterprise technologies, you actively shape the further development of a secure and future-proof IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the operation, support and continuous optimisation of modern server and infrastructure platforms
Ensuring the availability and further development of central Microsoft services such as SQL Server, Exchange, PKI and SharePoint
Administration, configuration and maintenance of important Windows infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies and DFS
Conducting fault analyses, troubleshooting and sustainable fault resolution in collaboration with IT teams, suppliers and external service partners
Participation in the design, implementation and introduction of IT infrastructure projects as well as technical optimisations in the operational environment
Planning and execution of system maintenance, updates and technical adjustments outside regular working hours
Ensuring stable IT operations through regular on-call duties and support during critical system events
Ensuring effective team collaboration and taking on deputy responsibilities in ongoing system operations
Qualifications:
Successfully completed IT training in the field of computer science (e.g. HF/FH, federal certificate, EFZ or a comparable qualification)
Several years of professional experience in the support, administration and further development of complex IT infrastructures and system environments
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and modern enterprise infrastructures
Practical experience in creating automations and system administration with PowerShell
Knowledge in the area of virtualisation (e.g. VMware) is an advantage
Experience with Linux systems and open-source technologies is desirable
Confident German language skills as well as good English skills for communication in a technical environment
