Role:
In this role, you design stable and secure platforms to ensure that diagnostic and operational processes function reliably at all times. You take responsibility for the smooth operation and continuous development of platforms, networks and cloud solutions. You ensure that laboratory and business processes run efficiently, securely and with high availability. You analyse existing systems, identify optimisation potentials and implement targeted measures to improve the infrastructure. Through your professional conduct, you contribute significantly to ensuring a modern, future-proof and secure IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring reliable infrastructure and application operations including qualified 2nd-level support.
Systematic investigation of complex fault patterns and sustainable restoration of service quality.
Implementation of technical projects to modernise and scale workplace, server and infrastructure platforms.
Further development of operational standards, technical procedures and documentation concepts.
Support and optimisation of network, database and virtualisation components as well as assistance with technical migrations.
Qualifications:
Advanced vocational training or degree with a focus on computer science, system engineering or a comparable qualification.
Several years of experience operating heterogeneous IT environments with Windows, network components and SQL-based databases.
Practical experience with modern virtualisation and platform solutions, such as Nutanix, Citrix, VMware or Hyper-V.
Strong technical understanding, methodical approach to fault analysis and enjoyment of independent project work.
Very good knowledge of German is required
