Job Description
As a School Assistant Librarian-Documentalist, you will collaborate in the management and promotion of the Etoy Media Library.
Responsibilities
- Welcome users and provide them with general information about the service, collections, consultation methods, and document lending.
- Introduce users to the operation of the devices and software available.
- Carry out lending operations, check the condition of consulted and lent documents, locate, search for and reshelve documents.
- Ensure the maintenance and equipment of the documentary collection.
- Participate in enhancing the collections and services of the school section of the media library.
- Organise and supervise the signage of the documentary collection. Label, package various documents. Perform minor repairs. Participate in cataloguing, inventory, sorting and reclassification operations. Update the content of documentary files and carry out routine reproductions.
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of exhibitions, activities, visits, reading promotion actions and events related to the media library's involvement and contribute to the development of documentary products: information research actions, physical processing of documents.

Qualifications
- Possession of a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a Documentary Information Officer (AID).
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a library, preferably in a school or youth library.
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
- Comfortable with new digital tools.
- Strong interest in working with children aged 4 to 12 and their teachers, as well as in children’s literature.
- Mastery of library techniques and standards.
- Knowledge of Alma and some experience in document management with Renouvaud.
- Skills for manual and creative activities.
- Able to work independently, you have a collaborative spirit and are open to innovation.
