Apprenticeship Chef EFZ (2027)

Each year, BSB trains numerous apprentices and students. From 1 August 2027, we offer you an exciting apprenticeship as a Chef EFZ. You will learn a varied profession with lots of creativity and responsibility. With your dishes, you provide enjoyment and quality of life every day and make an important contribution to the well-being of our residents.

During your three-year apprenticeship as a Chef EFZ, you will work in the kitchen of one of our care centres. There, you will prepare a variety of cold and hot dishes together with the kitchen team. You will learn the proper handling of foodstuffs, participate in their purchasing and storage, and assist in planning menus and workflows. You will pay attention to hygiene and quality and bring your creativity to the preparation and presentation of dishes. Teamwork and enjoyment of cooking are required daily.

• Completed compulsory schooling at level E or higher
• Enthusiasm for cooking and food
• Enjoyment in trying new things and being creative
• Good numerical understanding and enjoyment of mathematics, e.g. for calculating and adjusting recipe and quantity details
• Sense of cleanliness, quality, and hygiene
• Resilience and the ability to keep an overview even in hectic situations
• Reliable and responsible personality
• Enjoyment of teamwork
• Good oral and written expression in German
• You are willing to work according to a duty roster. Assignments may take place at different times of the day, and weekend shifts are also included.
