DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Security does not arise at the end of a project but from the very beginning. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you embed security-by-design directly into product development and shape the security architecture of modern software solutions. You work closely with development, architecture, and DevOps and bring security where it matters: into the code and the pipeline. The role combines technical depth with creative freedom and a great deal of personal responsibility.
Responsibilities:
You design, analyse, and optimise the security architecture of software products and drive their secure further development
You integrate and automate security in CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps), from SAST and DAST to dependency and container scanning to secure coding guidelines
Furthermore, you are responsible for vulnerability management as well as incident response and continuously develop the security toolchain
You plan and conduct security assessments, architecture risk analyses, and audits
Additionally, you ensure compliance with relevant requirements such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, or CRA throughout the entire development lifecycle
You also advise internal stakeholders, develop policies, and conduct training and awareness measures
Qualifications:
You have completed a degree in computer science (FH/HF), ideally specialising in software engineering or cyber security, or have a comparable qualification
You bring several years of experience in software development and have advanced towards secure software development
Modern architectural principles, secure coding practices, and threat modelling (e.g. STRIDE) are part of your skillset
Furthermore, you are familiar with DevSecOps tools and know how security flows into build and deployment processes
You can apply relevant standards such as NIS2, CRA, and IT baseline protection requirements to product development
You communicate fluently in German and conduct meetings confidently in English; knowledge of OT and IoT security as well as SOC concepts is a plus
