Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional for architectural planning and project management of diverse new build, conversion and renovation projects in an established architectural and planning environment. You will take on the development, design and coordination of demanding construction projects from the initial feasibility study through the building application to the execution planning and realisation. The focus is on architectural concept development, CAD and BIM planning, building construction as well as technical and economic project management. Depending on your professional experience, you will independently manage projects, coordinate interdisciplinary specialist planner teams and contribute to the acquisition of new architectural contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Architectural planning and project processing of diverse new build, conversion and renovation projects from smaller construction projects to complex building projects

• Design according to SIA phases from feasibility study and preliminary planning through the construction project to execution planning and realisation

• Development of architectural concepts including design sketches, volume studies, usage concepts and design variants

• Creation of building application, project and execution plans with CAD and BIM planning systems as well as development of constructive detail solutions

• Building law clarifications and approval procedures including examination of building and zoning regulations, preparation of building applications and coordination with authorities

• Project management and project control with responsibility for project organisation, scheduling, cost control and quality assurance

• Coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planner teams with structural engineers, building services planners, building physicists and other specialists

• Cost planning and economic analyses including cost estimates, variant comparisons and optimisation of construction implementation

• Tendering and awarding management with support in specifications, offer comparisons and technical contractor clarifications

• Support during construction execution with coordination between architectural planning, site management, specialist planners and executing companies

• Sustainable architecture and energy-efficient building considering materialisation, building physics, resource conservation and long-term usage quality

• Acquisition and offer management with involvement in architectural proposals, fee calculations, project presentations and winning new construction projects

Qualifications:

Completed architecture studies at FH or ETH at Bachelor or Master level

• Professional experience in Swiss architectural planning, ideally in the design and realisation of new build and conversion projects; project management experience is an advantage

• Sound knowledge in design planning, building construction, building application and execution planning as well as in the relevant SIA planning phases

• Good user knowledge of CAD and BIM planning software, for example ArchiCAD, Revit or comparable systems

• Knowledge of Swiss building legislation and SIA standards as well as experience with building approval procedures, cost planning and tendering

• Experience in project coordination and construction project management as well as knowledge in fee calculation and acquisition of architectural contracts is an advantage

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project documentation, authority clarifications and technical coordination
