Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional as a Draughtsperson EFZ Structural Engineering for an established engineering office specialising in structural civil engineering, structural planning, and demanding construction projects. You will work on diverse new build, conversion, and large-scale projects from the preliminary phase to execution and take responsibility for 3D modelling as well as the creation of formwork, reinforcement, and construction plans using Allplan. The focus is on model-based planning according to BIM, technical coordination with civil engineers and specialist planners, and quality assurance of planning documents. Additionally, you will take on a responsible role in vocational training and professional supervision of trainee draughtspersons EFZ Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Structural civil engineering: Independently handling new build, conversion, and renovation projects as well as demanding structural constructions across all relevant planning phases

• 3D modelling with Allplan: Creating, editing, and further developing digital structural and building models as a basis for model-based construction planning

• Formwork and reinforcement planning: Developing detailed formwork, reinforcement, positioning, and execution plans for reinforced concrete structures

• Steel construction and structural planning: Creating steel construction details, construction drawings, and technical connection details in coordination with structural planning

• Excavation and specialised deep foundation planning: Working on excavation plans, excavation safety, and structural detail drawings in collaboration with the responsible engineers

• BIM planning and model coordination: Applying digital BIM/VDC methods and coordinating structural models with architectural and specialist planning models

• Project coordination: Supporting project management in technical planning and coordinating interfaces between civil engineers, architects, and executing companies

• Plan review and quality assurance: Checking 3D models, reinforcement plans, construction details, and execution documents for completeness and technical feasibility

• Site supervision: Participating in construction meetings, reinforcement inspections, and technical site visits in coordination with project management

• Vocational training for draughtspersons EFZ: Providing professional supervision and support to trainees specialising in structural engineering during their vocational training

• Training planning and learning control: Teaching CAD, BIM, construction, and planning knowledge, monitoring learning progress, and contributing to training and qualification processes

• Digitalisation and planning optimisation: Further developing digital working methods and optimising CAD/BIM processes, model standards, and planning workflows

Qualifications:

• Completed training as a Draughtsperson EFZ specialising in structural engineering

• At least three years of professional experience after apprenticeship in structural civil engineering, especially in formwork, reinforcement, and execution planning

• Very good CAD skills and solid experience in 3D modelling, ideally with Allplan

• Knowledge of BIM/VDC planning processes and experience with Tekla Structures, Solibri, or comparable applications is an advantage

• Sound knowledge of reinforced concrete construction, steel construction, structural design, and relevant Swiss SIA standards

• Experience in supervising trainees or willingness to complete the vocational trainer course according to Swiss vocational training regulations

• Very good German language skills for technical project work, training documentation, and trainee supervision
