Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional for construction management and construction management of complex industrial, building services, and plant engineering projects in a technically demanding project environment. You will take operational responsibility for the coordination, monitoring, and control of all construction and installation work and accompany large projects from construction preparation to commissioning and final accounting. The focus is on construction cost and schedule management, cross-trade interface coordination, as well as ensuring execution quality, occupational safety, and contractual services. The position combines classic construction management with technical project management and offers a versatile field of activity with possible focuses in the pharmaceutical industry, process engineering, and industrial building services.

Responsibilities:

• Independent construction management and operational control of complex industrial and plant construction projects including construction, assembly, and installation work

• Monitoring and coordination of all executing companies and specialist trades taking into account contracts for work, technical specifications, and project requirements

• Creation and ongoing monitoring of construction schedules and timelines including milestone planning, progress control, and management of critical project phases

• Responsibility for construction cost control and economic project execution including cost estimates, hourly calculations, budget monitoring, and cost forecasts

• Preparation and processing of tenders with Messerli or comparable construction administration programmes including specifications, offer comparisons, and award documents

• Coordination of technical interfaces between construction, building services, and plant engineering, especially in the areas of HVAC, electrical installations, and process engineering plants

• Monitoring construction and installation quality as well as checking compliance with execution plans, technical requirements, and contractual obligations

• Organisation and leadership of construction, assembly, and coordination meetings including minute-taking, action item management, and follow-up of agreed measures

• Maintaining the construction diary and preparing regular project reports on construction progress, cost development, schedule status, and technical risks

• Monitoring and enforcement of occupational safety and site regulations considering SUVA requirements, safety concepts, and project-specific HSE requirements

• Coordination and support of functional tests, technical acceptances, and commissioning in cooperation with specialist planners, plant suppliers, and operator organisations

• Responsibility for the structural project completion including defect management, final accounts, revision documents, and handover documentation

Qualifications:

• Completed training as a construction manager, civil engineer FH/ETH, or technician HF or a comparable construction-technical qualification with relevant professional experience

• Several years of experience in construction management and handling complex large projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry, process engineering, industrial construction, or technical building infrastructure

• Sound knowledge in coordinating construction and installation work as well as technical understanding of building services, industrial plants, and process engineering interfaces

• Experience in construction cost management, scheduling, and project controlling including cost estimates, hourly calculations, and regular project reporting

• Confident handling of Messerli or comparable construction administration software for tenders and cost control; basic CAD knowledge is an advantage

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, contract law basics, and occupational safety regulations as well as experience in coordinating interdisciplinary construction and assembly teams

• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form for international project meetings, technical documentation, contractor coordination, and project reports
