Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)

Role:

As Deputy Head of Finance and Accounting at our ROCKEN partner, you support the finance management and represent it in defined professional and operational tasks. You are responsible for the quality of financial reporting, manage planning processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. At the same time, you help shape the centralisation of Swiss financial activities and further develop collaboration with the Shared Service Centre in India.

Responsibilities:

• You review monthly and annual financial statements and ensure reliable, high-quality group reporting.

• Budgeting and planning, including monthly rolling forecasts, are your responsibility.

• You ensure compliance with IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations, internal group accounting policies, and internal control system requirements.

• You identify improvements for standardising and automating financial processes and initiate corresponding projects.

• You accompany and manage transformation projects in finance, especially the transfer of accounting and reporting to the central finance organisation.

• You work closely with the Shared Service Centre in India and optimise joint interfaces and processes.

• You lead and support employees professionally and develop their competencies in accounting, reporting, and internal controls.

• You participate operationally in selected general ledger processes and coordinate necessary deputisations within the team.

• You represent finance management in agreed professional and operational matters and prepare business analyses as a basis for management decisions.

Qualifications:

• A university degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a comparable field, as well as a diploma as a certified auditor or an equivalent recognised professional qualification, form your foundation.

• You bring at least five years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.

• You have a solid command of IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations, and internal control systems and confidently assess financial matters and statements.

• You have practical experience in optimising financial processes and implementing transformation projects.

• Proven project management experience is complemented by initial leadership experience.

• You are characterised by analytical strength, excellent communication skills, and experience dealing with diverse stakeholders.

• You bring the necessary flexibility during monthly closings.

• You communicate excellently in German and very well in English. SAP knowledge is an advantage.
