On behalf of the client, we are looking for a Structural Civil Engineer to work on demanding projects in structural engineering. You will develop technically and economically convincing structural concepts and take on static calculations, design, and verifications from the preliminary project to realisation. You will work closely with architects, specialist planners, and contractors and support project management in technical project execution. The position is suitable for both graduates and civil engineers with initial experience and offers a development perspective towards project management.
Responsibilities:
Contributing to the development and optimisation of structural concepts for demanding building projects
Performing static calculations, design, and load-bearing capacity verifications
Working on structures made of reinforced concrete, steel, and other structural materials
Creating and reviewing as well as technical documentation
Applying relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations in calculations and design
Accompanying projects from the preliminary project through design and execution to the completion of shell construction
Technical coordination with architects, specialist planners, and contractors
Supporting project management in project coordination, scheduling, and technical documentation
Reviewing execution documents and handling technical issues during the realisation phase
Contributing to the development of economical and structurally optimised solutions for structures
Qualifications:
BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering from a ETH, University of Applied Sciences, university or comparable technical university
Graduate or initial professional experience in structural engineering or structural analysis
Solid knowledge in structural analysis, structural design, and structural engineering
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss planning fundamentals is an advantage
Experience with common structural analysis, calculation, and CAD software is an advantage
Very good German language skills as well as good to very good English skills
