In this role, you take responsibility for the operation and further development of a container-based platform that serves as the central foundation for modern applications in the insurance environment. You ensure that the OpenShift/Kubernetes platform runs stably, securely, and efficiently, making a crucial contribution to a reliable application landscape. You always keep performance, security, and availability in mind and continuously optimise the platform. Additionally, you support development teams in optimally using containerised applications on the platform and operating their solutions effectively.
Responsibilities:
- You operate, maintain, and further develop our container-based platform based on OpenShift and Kubernetes
- In this role, you ensure stable and secure operation of the platform in a productive corporate environment
- As a Container Platform Engineer, you analyse incidents as well as performance and stability issues and resolve them
- You support development and application teams with deployment, operation, and optimisation of containerised applications
- In this role, you drive the automation and standardisation of operational processes to further develop the platform
- As a Container Platform Engineer, you implement security and compliance requirements in a regulated environment and ensure their adherence
Qualifications:
- You have experience in operating or further developing container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
- You have good knowledge of Linux system administration
- Ideally, you bring knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or ArgoCD
- You are interested in or already working with observability and monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace
- You have knowledge of automation and infrastructure as code, for example with Ansible
- You are willing to regularly perform on-call duties and enjoy working analytically, structured, and in a team with very good German skills
