Role:
In this role, you design modern network and security architectures along the entire IT value chain – from conception through implementation to operation and support. You are responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining sophisticated security infrastructures, ensuring stable and secure operation of business-critical systems. You work on exciting projects with innovative solutions that meet high demands for availability, performance, and security. Responsibilities:
- You plan, operate, and further develop network security solutions with a focus on PaloAlto
- In this role, you carry out migrations from legacy systems to modern target architectures
- You advise internal stakeholders, group functions, and customers on security projects and architectures
- As a security specialist, you manage the network security infrastructure including Skyhigh Webproxy, F5 Loadbalancer with WAF, on-premises and cloud firewalls (PaloAlto), as well as legacy firewalls (CheckPoint, Forcepoint)
- You analyse disruptions in the network security infrastructure and ensure their sustainable resolution
Qualifications:
- Further training in networking with a focus on security (e.g. CCNP Enterprise or equivalent) is an advantage
- Several years of IT professional experience dealing with firewalls, proxies, and VPNs
- Solid practical experience with Palo Alto NGFW, ideally complemented by a relevant certification
- Comprehensive network know-how with Cisco technologies (Data Center - ACI, LAN, WLAN, and Core)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, collaborative working style
- High customer orientation, teamwork skills, and a good sense of humour
