As a Cloud & Systems Infrastructure Specialist, you are responsible for the stable and secure operation of a modern IT landscape. You operate between classic on-premises infrastructures, cloud services, networks, and security, ensuring that critical systems function reliably and performantly.
The position offers a broad technical scope with a lot of responsibility: from Microsoft core services and server platforms to network and certificate infrastructures, cloud operations, and 3rd-level support. At the same time, you actively help shape standards and technical concepts.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of Windows server and virtualisation platforms as well as Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
Administration and optimisation of Microsoft SQL database environments including performance and maintenance tasks
Analysis and resolution of complex infrastructure issues at 3rd-level in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
Establishment and improvement of monitoring, alerting, patch, and vulnerability management processes
Planning and implementation of secure network and security solutions with firewalls, load balancers, VPCs, routing, as well as PKI and SSL/TLS certificate management
Creation of technical standards, operation manuals, and concepts as well as availability for on-call and planned maintenance outside office hours
Qualifications:
IT training EFZ with further education HF/FH or university degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable field
Several years of experience in operating and engineering cloud, infrastructure, and security environments
Very good knowledge of Microsoft infrastructures as well as experience with virtualisation and hybrid cloud architectures
Understanding of network architectures, firewalls, routing, load balancing, and certificate management
Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented personality with a pronounced hands-on mentality
Very good German skills and fluent English; additional IT certifications or software development knowledge are advantageous
