Job Description
At the head of this institution with approximately 800 students, you oversee all educational, administrative, technical and financial activities to provide a quality and supportive learning environment. You unite your teams around student success, while ensuring their professional fulfilment. As the representative of the institution, you commit to promoting its reputation among partners and the school community, strengthening and developing relationships essential to fulfilling its missions.
Responsibilities
- Implement cantonal and/or federal policies regarding education within the institution.
- Lead the institution and coordinate all its activities and services, ensuring a smooth and structured internal organisation as well as optimal use of resources.
- Ensure the quality of teaching and supervise its distribution, monitoring students and compliance with current programmes and legislation.
- Ensure the adaptation of the institution’s services and maintain an institutional culture.
- Recruit, support and unite teaching, administrative and technical teams; encourage the development of their skills within the established framework.
- Ensure the dissemination of information to guarantee clear communication and ongoing dialogue.
- Prepare and monitor the budget, set priorities and ensure reliable financial management.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance and renewal of equipment and infrastructure.
- Promote the institution’s image and develop its integration within its economic, social and academic environment, notably by participating in various conferences, commissions and working groups.
Qualifications
- University Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a subject taught at the post-compulsory level, complemented by a teaching qualification for secondary level II (or equivalent experience).
Proven managerial experience of several years, acquired in the field of education.
- Demonstrated managerial skills, excellent communication and ease in conflict management, analytical and synthesis abilities, openness to change and innovative projects, ability to develop an institutional culture.
- The CAS in administration and management of training institutions (FORDIF) is desired and will be required if not completed before taking office.
