Responsibilities:
Maintenance, upkeep, and further development of the Linux-based IT infrastructure
Design and implementation of new technologies to optimise business processes
Automation of administrative tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or comparable tools
Analysis and optimisation of system performance as well as troubleshooting in the Linux environment
Ensuring IT security and high availability of systems
Creation and maintenance of documentation as well as continuous process optimisation
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in the administration and optimisation of Linux systems (e.g. Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
Knowledge in the use and implementation of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Confident understanding of network protocols and IT security concepts
Independent and solution-oriented working style
Benefits:
- Flexible working hours: At ZHAW, the working time is 42 hours per week for a 100% workload. For part-time employees, it is based on the agreed employment level. It is generally spread over 5 days, with Saturday and Sunday off. Due to school operations on Saturdays, some staff must also work on Saturdays. A positive working time balance can be compensated hourly or by taking days off.
