Job Description

Do you enjoy working in a demanding legal environment, making decisions based on law and collaborating with numerous institutional partners?
Would you like to contribute to essential missions for the population of Vaud, within the Communes and Nationality divisions or the Civil Status division of the Population Service?
We are looking for two Specialised Case Managers to investigate and process complex cases, ensure the uniform application of federal and cantonal legislation, advise internal and external partners, and contribute to the quality of services provided by the department.
The positions are respectively attached to the Communes and Nationality Division - Naturalisation sector at avenue de Beaulieu 19 or the Civil Status Division - Supervisory Authority Analysis sector at avenue de Sévelin 46.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and investigate complex cases in compliance with legal provisions and current procedures.
- Make decisions autonomously and draft the related administrative acts.
- Advise and support internal and external partners, notably communes, civil status offices, Swiss representations abroad, as well as the public.
- Ensure the quality, compliance and development of practices, in collaboration with the various stakeholders involved.
- Participate in cross-cutting activities such as training, sector representation and continuous improvement of services.

Qualifications
- Federal VET diploma as a commercial employee or equivalent qualification (required).
- 5 to 6 years of professional experience in managing complex cases or in a field relevant to the role.
- Strong interest in the legal field and ability to analyse complex situations.
- Excellent writing skills, analytical mind and organisational sense.
- Ease in dealing with various interlocutors and a sense of public service.
- Proficiency in common IT tools.
- Knowledge of nationality law, civil status law or private international law is an asset.
We offer two fixed-term contracts of one year, renewable.
