Responsibility for the operation and further development of sophisticated on-premises data centre and virtualisation platforms at plant locations. Focus on VMware/VCF, NSX, storage, security, standardisation and automation as well as ensuring a highly available and secure operation.
Responsibilities:
Planning and implementation of on-premises ICT platforms
Operation and further development of server and client virtualisation
Configuration and optimisation of infrastructure from hardware to guest operating system
Co-design of ICT architecture and relevant infrastructure interfaces
Lifecycle responsibility for virtualisation platforms
Further development regarding availability, security and data integrity
Standardisation and automation of operational processes
Operation of Broadcom VMware / VCF and NSX
Support of vSAN, SAN/FC, block storage, filer and S3
Performance and error analyses as well as capacity planning
Collaboration with network, storage and infrastructure experts
Documentation of system configurations and operational processes
Qualifications:
Education and further training in computer science or comparable technical qualification
Several years of experience in the operation and design of virtualisation and IT platforms
Sound knowledge of Broadcom VMware, VCF and NSX
Experience with vSAN, SAN/FC and other storage technologies
Knowledge of Cisco Intersight
Experience with Ansible or Terraform
High security awareness as well as knowledge in standardisation and automation
Independent, structured and analytical working style
Very good German and good English skills
