Purchaser in Plant and Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
- Analysis of international procurement markets
- Selection/qualification of suppliers
- Negotiations with suppliers
- Contract conclusions
- Technical clarification in collaboration with various specialist departments
- Coordination and communication with international reach (internal and external)
- Planning and implementation of cost reduction projects
- Co-responsibility in a project for compliance with budget requirements, deadlines, quality, and safety of selected plant engineering components
Qualifications:
Ideally trained as an industrial engineer or commercial training with a technical background
Several years of specialised professional experience and sound knowledge in global purchasing of components and assemblies for plant/machine engineering
Confidence in contract law
Fluent English for negotiations
SAP and MS Office skills
Independent, systematic, and structured working style
Cost and responsibility awareness
Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking
Team-oriented and assertive personality with the necessary initiative
