What you can achieve.

• Together with your team leaders, you manage a department of about 45 engineers, physicists and other specialists and bear the professional as well as personnel responsibility.
• Together with the stakeholders, you define and are responsible for strategic initiatives for the further development of rail control systems, digitalisation and innovation (e.g. digital testing processes, automation, data analysis).
• You ensure compliance with technical standards (including CENELEC), safety requirements and quality standards, while also monitoring adherence to financial guardrails.
• As a member of the Rail Control management team, you actively participate in its further development, both on the human and technological side. You maintain and develop the network with industry partners, suppliers as well as national and European project partners and represent Rail Control in relevant committees.

What you bring with you.

• With courage and determination, you drive major transformation projects forward - always keeping the human aspects of change in mind.
• In your career, you have already gained leadership experience in managing interdisciplinary teams.
• Professionally, you have experience in portfolio, budget and risk management. With sensitivity and diplomacy, you manage to balance complex issues between customer needs, economic efficiency and safety.
• You can demonstrate sound knowledge of industrial development processes (V model, standards such as CENELEC) as well as in the rail environment.
• For this role, we require a technical degree (ETH/university/FH or equivalent), ideally complemented by further business education in corporate management or management.
• Your German language skills are business fluent (at least level C1) and you have good knowledge of a second national language (at least level B2).
