Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Are you looking for a position where you shape technology rather than just manage it? As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you manage the operation of IT services together with an external partner and ensure that quality and security are maintained. The focus is on a modern workplace centred around Microsoft 365 (M365) and Intune. You consistently automate recurring processes, thereby creating reliable standards. In tricky incidents, you are the technical authority everyone relies on.
Responsibilities:
You take the lead in handling complex incidents in 2nd and 3rd level support and coordinate the resolution with the external operator.
You manage the operating partner and ensure availability, performance, and security of the IT services.
Furthermore, you evaluate new technologies for their benefits and smoothly transition hardware and software from project to operation.
You analyse existing solutions and drive standardisation and automation in workplace, security, and infrastructure.
You introduce new systems and applications in a way that meets security standards and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, you equip employees with clear instructions and training materials to handle hardware, software, and communication platforms confidently.
Qualifications:
A basic IT education with further training at tertiary level (HF, FH, university or ETH) forms your foundation.
You have solid professional experience in a service-oriented IT environment and have successfully implemented IT projects.
Windows client management is your domain: you are well versed in Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
Additionally, you have solid knowledge in networking, security, and system architecture as well as routine in scripting with PowerShell.
You confidently manage external providers, communicate clearly, and think consistently customer-oriented.
You remain calm under pressure, approach tasks methodically, and move effortlessly in German and English, whether in conversation or documentation.
