Role:

Good cloud architectures arise where platform, identity, and security seamlessly interlock. As a Senior Azure Platform Engineer, you design exactly these interfaces in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365). You technically elevate established environments to a new level and carefully transition local infrastructures to the cloud. Automation replaces manual work, and you make your architectural decisions with foresight.

Responsibilities:

• You design landing zones as well as subscription and governance structures, laying the foundation for scalable cloud platforms.

• You design identities and access with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Enterprise Applications. You further develop endpoint security with Intune.

• Furthermore, you build reusable Bicep modules and automate processes via PowerShell and APIs.

• You plan transformation projects from local data centres to the cloud and accompany them until stable operation.

• Together with network specialists, you integrate private endpoints, DNS, and VPN cleanly with existing firewall solutions.

• Additionally, you define technical standards, systematically resolve complex error patterns, and test new approaches around automation and AI.

Qualifications:

• You have at least five years of experience in architecture and engineering of Azure and M365 environments.

• You have in-depth knowledge of compute, networking, governance, and platform services of the Microsoft cloud.

• You confidently implement modular deployment structures with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and routinely script complex processes.

• You have solid knowledge of device compliance, MFA, RBAC, and app registrations.

• You understand firewall concepts and hybrid network architectures. Experience with Fortinet is a plus.

• Furthermore, you translate zero-trust principles into concrete architectures and ideally hold Microsoft certifications in architecture, security, or identity.
