The tumour documentation is part of the Clinical Program (CP) of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich (CCCZ) at USZ. It provides a reliable data basis for quality assurance, certification, and the further development of our oncological care. For our team, we are looking for a committed individual who combines tumour documentation with a strong IT affinity and acts as an interface between the specialist department, data experts, and technical partners.

Tumour Documentalist with Focus on Data & Digitalisation 70%

Your Main Tasks
- Tumour Documentation (approx. 40%): You document clinical data, especially on thyroid tumours in OnkoStar, and ensure their completeness and plausibility.
- Data & Digitalisation (approx. 30%): You support the tumour centre with KPI evaluations, reporting, as well as data, automation, and digitalisation projects.
- You take on an interface function between the tumour documentation/QM team, our data and IT specialists, and – depending on the project – other IT areas.
- You gather professional requirements from the team, structure them, and help translate them into technically feasible questions and solutions.
- You contribute to the further development of data quality, data structures, and standardised or automated processes.
Your Profile
- You have a medical, scientific, health or medical informatics education or a comparable qualification.
- You enjoy working with medical data and have a basic medical or oncological understanding or are willing to deepen your knowledge in tumour documentation.
- You work very carefully, structured, and reliably and can clearly capture and communicate professional requirements.
- You have a strong IT affinity, are confident in various systems, and enjoy further developing data and processes.
Advantageous:
- Experience in tumour documentation, quality management, or the oncological environment
- Knowledge of OnkoStar as well as experience with clinical information systems, medical databases, or data analyses
- Interest or initial knowledge in the area of structured clinical data, data models, and interfaces, e.g. FHIR or openEHR
- Experience with Excel or other tools for data preparation and evaluation
