The purchasing department of the Biel Hospital Centre is a central unit within Supply Chain Services and reports to the Facility Management Directorate. Your tasks – our position
- You will take over the professional and personnel management of purchasing and continuously develop the area together with your team.
- You ensure the needs-based, economical, and sustainable procurement of all consumables, capital goods, and services for hospital operations.
- You initiate and manage demanding procurement projects, taking into account public procurement law, and conduct complex negotiations with suppliers and business partners.
- You further develop strategic category management and develop and implement suitable procurement and sourcing strategies.
- You identify savings and optimisation potentials, analyse relevant procurement data, and thus create a sound basis for decision-making for the company.
- You maintain and develop strategic supplier relationships, monitor market and procurement trends, and ensure professional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your skills – our requirements
- You have completed basic training as well as advanced training in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. You bring leadership experience as well as experience in strategic purchasing and ideally sound knowledge of public procurement.
- You have experience in managing procurement projects, in demanding negotiations, and in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
- You are characterised by strong decision-making and organisational skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented working style.
- You are a committed, proactive, and entrepreneurial-minded individual and enjoy actively further developing purchasing in a changing environment.
- You have good business management knowledge and are confident in creating and interpreting analyses, evaluations, and statistics.
- You communicate fluently in German or French, both spoken and written, have good knowledge of the other language, and convince with strong social and communication skills as well as negotiation skills.
