Role:
A stable infrastructure does not arise by itself. As a System Engineer Windows & Linux Infrastructure, you ensure that servers, networks and workstations run reliably. Windows Server, Active Directory and Linux form the technical foundation, complemented by a modern virtualisation environment. Colleagues find quick answers to technical questions with you. In addition, you help shape the direction of the environment in internal projects.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the smooth operation of servers and networks, including backup, patch management, monitoring and proper documentation
You receive and pragmatically resolve requests from internal employees
Furthermore, you equip office and home office workstations as well as meeting rooms and keep them ready for use
You participate in internal projects and elevate the infrastructure technically to a new level
You implement security and compliance requirements according to ISO 27001 together with the responsible departments
In addition, you coordinate with external suppliers, provide technical support to customer service and occasionally perform planned system work outside regular hours
Qualifications:
Your foundation is a completed IT education (EFZ, HF or FH) or comparable practical experience
You have been maintaining and expanding IT infrastructures for several years
You are confident in the Microsoft environment as well as in operating Linux systems; automation with Ansible rounds off your profile
You bring solid know-how in virtualisation and are familiar with storage and backup solutions
You have experience operating networks and firewalls; monitoring as well as deployment of clients and servers are familiar to you
Moreover, you approach topics solution-oriented, keep an overview of structure and communicate fluently in German both orally and in writing; you use English effortlessly in everyday work
