Senior System Engineer IT Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Role:
You actively shape the future of the IT landscape and ensure the reliable operation of complex infrastructure environments. You manage and optimise server, network, and cloud solutions and ensure high system stability as well as IT security. You identify technical challenges early, develop sustainable solutions, and support the continuous improvement of IT services. Additionally, you contribute your expertise to IT projects and accompany the implementation of modern technologies. With your experience, you optimise operational processes and support the development of a powerful and future-oriented IT environment.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the smooth operation and continuous development of the IT infrastructure, managing servers, clients, networks, peripheral devices, and Azure Cloud Services.
You take on the analysis and resolution of complex system issues, develop sustainable solutions, and ensure high technical quality.
You ensure optimal system availability, performance, and security of the IT environment and provide support in the on-call service when needed.
You identify technical optimisation potentials, reduce risks through targeted preventive measures, and drive the automation and standardisation of processes.
You accompany diverse IT projects, take responsibility for sub-projects, evaluate new technologies, and ensure up-to-date system documentation.
Qualifications:
You have completed a training in the IT field such as IT specialist EFZ, HF, FH or possess a comparable IT qualification.
You have solid professional experience in operating, expanding, and further developing IT infrastructures as well as in managing demanding system landscapes.
You are well versed in Microsoft technologies and have practical experience with Windows Server, Windows Clients, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune.
You bring knowledge in virtualisation such as VMware and ideally have experience with Linux systems as well as network technologies like firewall, SD-WAN, switching, and WLAN.
You hold a category B driving licence and communicate confidently in German and English.
