Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a creatively skilled professional for design architecture, competition planning and handling demanding study assignments. You will develop innovative architectural concepts for diverse construction projects and accompany the creative design process from the initial idea to the convincing project presentation. The focus is on conceptual design planning, architectural design, variant development as well as the graphical preparation of competition and study documents. The position offers a creative working environment with high personal responsibility and the opportunity to actively shape demanding architectural projects within a committed team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of architectural competitions from analysing competition documents to complete project submission

• Development of innovative architectural concepts with a focus on design quality, functionality and spatial impact

• Preparation of demanding study assignments involving investigation of architectural, urban planning and functional issues

• Conceptual design planning for diverse construction projects with development of convincing building and spatial concepts

• Analysis of construction tasks and site conditions considering legal, design and project-specific requirements

• Development and evaluation of different design variants including elaboration of building volumes, floor plan concepts and façade designs

• Creation of competition and design plans including site plans, floor plans, sections, façades and conceptual representations

• Graphical preparation of architectural projects with creation of meaningful presentation materials, diagrams and visualisations

• Development of material and design concepts with special attention to architectural expression and spatial atmosphere

• Interdisciplinary collaboration within the project team coordinating design, functional and constructive issues

• Presentation and communication of design ideas with clear explanation of architectural concepts using plans, images and models

• Quality assurance and further development of design projects checking the design coherence and completeness of competition documents

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree from ETH or FH or a comparable recognised higher education qualification in architecture

• Strong design competence and architectural design talent with a confident sense of proportions, spatial effect and architectural quality

• Experience or strong interest in architectural competitions and study assignments as well as enthusiasm for demanding conceptual design tasks

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with a structured approach to complex architectural issues

• Very good graphical and design skills and confident use of common CAD, 3D and image editing programmes

• Independent, creative and responsible working style with personal commitment, teamwork and high initiative

• Very good German language skills, spoken and written for collaboration within the project team, presentation of design concepts and preparation of architectural documentation
