In this role, you bring your several years of experience as a system engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments and want more than just to operate systems. You take technical responsibility for the operation and further development of the Microsoft on-premises platform as well as the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment and think about architecture holistically. You lead technical projects from conception to regular operation and analyse complex faults at 2nd and 3rd level, always focusing on high service quality and customer satisfaction. In doing so, you actively shape standards, drive automation and standardisation forward, and rely on clean, reproducible solutions. As a technical key figure in the IT services area, you advance topics in a well-founded, quality-oriented, and sustainable manner and share your knowledge with your environment.
Responsibilities:
- You design, implement, and further develop sophisticated Microsoft on-premises solutions
- In this role, you operate and optimise the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform including ADC throughout the entire lifecycle
- As a Senior System Engineer Microsoft Citrix, you lead technical projects in the specialist area from migration through modernisation to going live
- You analyse causes of complex faults at 2nd and 3rd level and resolve them sustainably
- In this role, you drive automation and standardisation with PowerShell and configuration management forward
- You define and document standards, solutions, and operational processes and work closely with the network, security, and smart workplace teams
Qualifications:
- You have a completed IT education EFZ or a comparable qualification, ideally with further training at HF or FH level
- You have several years of experience as a system engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments as well as very good knowledge of Windows domain infrastructure, servers, and Active Directory
- You bring solid experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and ADC as well as in the area of identity and privileged access management (IAM and PAM)
- You are familiar with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change) and have experience dealing with customer services
- You are characterised by a strong service orientation, high independence, and personal responsibility and are prepared for a security check with a criminal record extract
- You communicate in German at native or negotiation level, ideally have English skills, and have an affinity for automation with PowerShell and configuration management as well as an impeccable reputation
