Senior Accountant - Trading - Geneva

On behalf of a rapidly growing trading company in Geneva, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen the Finance function.

The position is primarily aimed at a very hands-on and autonomous profile, capable of managing daily accounting and contributing to the progressive structuring of the Finance function. We are seeking a hands-on professional comfortable in a trading environment.

Your responsibilities:
- Ensure general accounting and monthly/annual closings according to Swiss standards.
- Manage bank reconciliations, payments, receipts, suppliers and customers.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure the reliability of accounting data.
- Monitor treasury, cash flow and working capital requirements related to trading operations.
- Participate in monitoring transaction profitability and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with fiduciaries, auditors and external partners.
- Contribute to the implementation of tools, procedures and reports adapted to the company’s growth.

Profile sought:
- 5 to 10 years of accounting experience in Switzerland.
- Experience in commodity trading, international trade, trade finance or banking environment highly appreciated.
- Available quickly or with a short notice period ideally.
- Solid mastery of Swiss accounting and closing processes.
- Very good Excel skills and ease with an ERP/accounting system.
- Professional English essential; fluent French.
- Autonomy, rigour and a truly operational orientation.
