Role:

Good security arises where clean technology meets sharp analysis. As a Cloud & Network Security Engineer, you ensure within the framework of Managed Security Services that the infrastructure of various customers remains protected. The focus is on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), combined with modern endpoint and network security. With growing experience, you will take on increasing responsibility and actively shape new solutions.

Responsibilities:

• You configure network and cloud firewalls, web application firewalls, as well as MFA solutions and define appropriate security policies.

• During ongoing operations, you manage EDR/XDR platforms and ensure reliable protection of customer systems.

• Furthermore, you optimise existing SIEM and log management solutions and analyse logs from server, endpoint, network, and security sources.

• You monitor incoming alerts and classify security events. In incidents, you participate in analysis and technical countermeasures.

• You detect vulnerabilities with vulnerability scans and assess them. Additionally, you support changes, rollouts, and security projects at customers.

• You also evaluate new security technologies in proof of concepts and document systems, configurations, and incidents comprehensibly.

Qualifications:

• With at least 3 years of experience in security operations or cyber security engineering, you are well prepared.

• You have already worked with enterprise and cloud firewalls and are familiar with EDR, XDR, or NDR technologies in practice.

• Your knowledge of system, cloud, network, and endpoint security is solid, as is your expertise in securing Linux and Windows.

• Moreover, you correlate complex security events across various log sources and maintain an overview even during incidents.

• Protocols such as DNS, TLS, TCP/IP, and HTTP/S are familiar to you. You also master vulnerability management, common scanning tools, and access concepts with MFA and role-based permissions.
